A tree that was cut down had a nest of baby squirrels in the trunk.  One of the little things was crying and Thoren found them in the snow. One was deep in the snow with just its tail sticking out to be found. The boys took them up to the house to keep them warm and I waited to see if the mother was still around.

They are doing good so far.

Homemade Fun

30 Minute Project

 Had a little project to do with the boy. It took 30 minutes to make. Follow the videos and try and figure out what we built. Before watching the last videos.

 So, then we made three cuts to each of the 2x6's. The first cut was at about 45 degrees, and the next two who knows? LOL
I just made a cut at the bottom and top of the 45.

Then we nailed the two short 2x6's together, so it would be the same length as the long 2x6. Then nail the 2x4 across the top edge of the 2x6's.

Then nail the two pieces of plywood on top of the 2x6's. Then the other 2x4 in front of the plywood.

The video shows the other 2x4 nailed to the 2x6's to hold them together.

Last touch is to rub wax along the bottom edge of the 2x6's. (helps being a beekeeper)

Next is the test run!

Life in General

Well, spent the morning in the ER. The doctor was thinking I was having a stroke and had me get a Catscan. I was thinking it was Shingles yet again. After everything was checked out, I was right and the doctor was wrong.
Third time with Shingles.. . . .yea. . .

Did get the goat barn lights finished up. Now have light in the goat barn. That makes it a lot easier to do chores when the day light is shorter in the winter.

Been a long long time

HAAA!
My first blog post on the internet in over 10 years.

My kid left for Germany yesterday and arrive there early morning. Just talked with her and she is tried. Maybe jet lag or just from sitting in planes for 10 hours and Chicago for another 8 hours waiting.

I will add more later or maybe she can take over the blog. She is the writer, not me.
